I know 32-bit Wndows, by design, won't recognise more than 4 GBs total of RAM (incl. video cards, etc.). I'm building a new PC with 4 GBs of RAM, 2 video cards w/ 512 MBs of RAM on each, etc, and I've heard it is possible to have Windows recognise and use over 4 GBs total RAM.
Is this true, and if so, how hard is it to do and how is it done? And is it worth it? It'd be really nice to have 32-bit XP use all that memory (not to mention 32-bit Vista!).![]()
