Re: 400 just around the corner...

I've got 10 SMP units expected in the next 24hrs so that alone would take us to the top 400, its the top 200 i think we should be targeting tho, February should bring that mile stone up if we keep going the way we are now.

Plans are being made to see if we can get even more people folding.

    I have a cunning plan

How many machines have you got dedicated to folding?

I'm going to OC my E6750 in a while, see what difference an extra ~600Mhz makes to my folding performance!

    LOL HEXY!!!.

    As to what i'm running
~ twenty single/dual cpu old school 2.8 to 3.2gig xeons. My modern C2D desktop completely creams it for completing a unit in the fastest time, but its all about amount of processing they can do

They aren't going to be folding forever sadly, just while they are sitting waiting for functions or customers to be found for them.

Nothing like what DirectHex could produce tho.

Thats good - needed to get the daily averages up. However that that is a pretty impressive contibution by directhex and you though - I take about 90 minutes to 1% of a small WU - drops to about 60 minutes if I shut down the X server... (But then it is a pretty slow socket A running 24x7)

Blame Gameon, Zak and Lowe to be honest, i'd have never taken up sorting this out without someone to aim at

Anyone who knows me, knows how to motivate me heh.

And damn i thought Hexy was dropping a quarter of a mill heh.

if i get time on the full-size clusters, it should mean about two thirds of a million per 24 hours.

and this time my maths isn't suspect, i promise!

Re: 400 just around the corner...

I've just decided to add my small weight to the hexus folding team:

    Current Hardware List:

    E6600 @ Home,
    XB2400 @ Home,
    P4 1.6 Laptop @ Home,
    IMac (Intel CPU) @ Home

    All running 24/7

    C2D 2Ghz Laptop @ Work
    P4 2.4 Laptop @ Work
P4 3.2 Test Server @ Work (I know, it's crap, one of our un-used ones)

    All running 24/7

Currently trying to get access or buy-in to use some of our other test servers and redundant live servers for it. Will see how it goes.

Won't make a huge difference, but must help in some way

    Coolio :]

Will leave thing running and see what happens.

Turning about 20 mins for 1% of a 500,000 step unit on the c2d laptop.

Unfortunately the server is single core It's only a desktop in reality.
