    XP Pro SP2+Nero7Essentials+Firefox=Confusion

I been banging my head against the wall on the above software...

    The issue:

I have windows XP Pro SP2 installed and have used Firefox for web browsing for yonks. Since new PC build and subsequently sticking Nero7 Essentials on for (free with DVD burner so I use it) DVD burning, I can't seem to view any webpages. I take Nero7 off and we can view webpages again. BUT recently even without Nero7 on, after a random amount of time I can't view webpages. Firefox says it's done loading the page but its blank.

I'm definitely clueless when it comes to software, just a monkey that loves building PCs.

I can only conclude that Nero7 really is crappy and interefered with Firefox. Am I correct?

I doubt the two are related

    more so after saying that.

First thing I would try would be to uninstall Firefox (and Nero) I would make sure you've backed everything, like bookmarks up and I would proceed to delete any of the remaining Firefox directories (application data). And I would try a clean (start fresh) installation of Firefox.

Actually, my last statement is incorrect.

Just spent today and testing IE and Firefox without Nero installed and it's fine. It's when I install Nero7 Essentials does IE and FF stop working...very odd...

Anyhow, I'll give a fresh clean install of FF tomorrow Stupidly spent all of tonight playing NWN...
