Anyone after a Job ? (Data Centre Engineer , North London )

We're finding ourselves a little short handed at one of our datacentres , so could do with a ready , willing and able body to help out.

Pervious Data Centre experience would be nessesary , in addition to familiarity with HP Servers , Backup Exec , Windows 2003 & Active Directory.

The Role is based in North London , not far from the bottom of the M1.

drop me a Pm with your CV for further details

Re: Anyone after a Job ? (Data Centre Engineer , North London )

I would love to put myself forward for this. Never worked in a data center as such but have managed a few networks in my time / project manager, mainly HP DL servers,NT, 2000, 2003, linux etc. Uses backup exec I think it was version 10, have a bit of cisco experience.... always wanted to work in a datacenter as well!! grrrr.

I just so so wish I lived in London, wasn't half way through a project and knee deep trying to get my head around MS licensing.... again.

Anyway, my main reason to post in here is to say....

sheikedoo you can't PM until you have a certain number of posts.

    This one is still open

sheikedoo , you'll need a few more posts before you can PM - why not see if there's anything you can add to existing threads on here for people with OS problems

We've also got a 4th line AD/Exchange position going in Milton Keynes , but you'll have to be *really* good with Exchange / AD to be considered.

The MK job would be brilliant for me, I live in Leighton Buzzard (when not at Uni) which is 15 minutes away on the train. Unfortunately I have no Exchange/AD experience whatsoever.

Probably not. I'll be looking for a job soon for when I finish Uni. However I don't think I'd be what you want for either jobs.

Hmm well I quite like networking and stuff. Might be better if you said what was on at MK and I could say if I felt I could do it?

At the rate my job's going, I'd be happier sweeping floors!!!

After the day I've had trying to reconcile what the MD wants and what the software company will provide, I should be working for the UN!
