    Best Anti-Virus/Firewall/Internet Security?

Looking to replace my Zone Alarms software as it interfers with Steam. Any recommendaion on a good package? Ideally something that can run nicely in the background and not hog to much memory like Zone Alarms? Also maybe one with a free trial to have a look at it?

    Re: Best Anti-Virus/Firewall/Internet Security?

For a Free firewall Commodo pro is the best and better than some paid for programs.
For anti-virus i would use AVG or Antivir, both free too.

    Re: Best Anti-Virus/Firewall/Internet Security?

Pay for suite, Eset or Kaspersky.

Freeware and separate, Comodo 3 (but wait a little while longer till things have settled down) and AntiVir anti virus.

    NOD32 + Adaware/Spybot Search & Destroy + Windows Firewall/NAT Router.

Perfectly secure unless subjected to a dedicated hack, keeps the machine running quickly too.

Seconded. Although I haven't tried their Smart Security package, their Antivirus/Antispyware software is fast, efficient, and works very well. Recommended.

Not on the scale of McAfee or Norton, but yes, the AVG Internet Security package is a bit slow. Just go for Eset NOD32. XP's firewall is good enough.

I can't let Norton slip by - It's abject junk I mean, it's piss poor and a virus in itself. Didn't always used to be like that, mind.
