Can't get the SMP client working

I'm trying to get the SMP client up and running since the basic application is hardly taxing my PC, but every time I try to run the install.bat file, it comes up with

"MPIDU_Sock_post_connect(1228): unable to connect to <PC NAME> on port 8676, exhausted all endpoints (errno -1)

MPIDU_Sock_post_connect(1275): unable to connec to Main-PC on port 8676, No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (errno 100 61)."

If I try running the program, it just constantly comes up with "Cannot load core, Cannot load Core, downloading new core, download successful, cannot load core etc"

Just a quick thought do you have admin rights? and secondly do you have a password attached to the user name?

The password is definitely required and you may need to run as an admin (not sure about this, my account has admin rights and I haven't tried running it without).

Re: Can't get the SMP client working

Yeah, it's a password protected admin account (yeah I know, bad idea in Vista!)

If it makes a difference, I'm trying to install the client on a seperate partition to the main Vista install (trying to keep only key programs on the main edge of the disc)
