Does such a thing exist? I have a couple of boxes here, which I can't install the client on, but could boot from a CD.
Cheers...

I don't think so, but it would be a stonking idea (obviously built around some linux distro)
EDIT - ok, Google tells me...Writings - Running Folding@Home with a Knoppix GNU/Linux Live CD on a Windows network share

Unfortunately I need a stand alone, boot off the cd and run distro. I've hacked one together myself. If anyone else is interested, I can knock up a quick guide.
Looks like my bootable cd is doing it's job. Splash, I think I should overtake you by the New Year!
Anyone know of a 64Bit SMP aware Live distro?
I'm currently using a very stripped down version of Slax 6 (based on Slackware). The distro loads itself into memory and then ejects the CD, so on reboot, you get whatever your normal setup is.
Good idea
Could even save the work to a removable drive (thinking flash based - SD card / USB drive ect...), meaning no need for a HD at all
Then again, I've always meant to do a project for network booting with a RAM drive, so no optical drive / HD would be needed.
