    SCO - Disable services

    Mornin!

We have a box running Sco OpenServer 5.0.5. It has alot of un-needed open ports that I would like to disable, the 2 most important ones being SMTP and POP3.

I thought, no biggy, I'll just google it and see how, but I just can't find out how to disable them! its getting kind of annoying now.

    Any ideas anyone? Ta

...oh, thats right, I did find one solution. I can edit /etc/inetd.conf to comment out the services I want to get rid of, then issue the command 'kill -HUP `cat /var/run/cron.pid`' this restarts all inetd services. I would be up for doing this, but our main system runs via telnet (managed by inetd) and I am reluctant to restart it incase I kill any sessions users may have open.
