Been doing it a while, but I took a break for a while when I only had dial-up and at another point when I was doing the grid cancer thingy, but I'm back on the seti hunt now

I just use a precompiled one for redhat i386's. It's on my router - so no real need for caching, lol.Good work

hmm been soo long since i had SETI installed think i left it at 250ish
Cant remeber how long i did the Cancer grid for but would rather do that than SETI.

Do you guys mean Data units when you say WUs ?? If so then I have 90. How do you guys make use of seti when you have 4 cpus in one machiene ?

What is a WU (Work Unit?) then? How does it differentiate from the results you get? I have 14 results, but only 2 WU's, how did I manage that then?
the "+2" is how many work units processed in the 14 day period
do you turn your machine off lots then?

Yeah, I only have it on a few hours per night at the moment, it's too noisy and the net connection goes through my parent's PC at the moment so I rarely use it. I also stop it when playing games as my processor is so weak!

SetiCommander is a program that uses the text version of seti@home (quick), manages multiple work units, and can run seti@home processes on multiple CPU's.
