    Pipex Email Woes

    Great, just great

It looks like Pipex have trashed their SMTP servers during a migration from their system's to Tiscali's. According to their technical support staff, their servers will be ranging from tempremental to completely non-functional for the next 48 hours at least.

Not what I need on the last day at work this year!!

I wonder if I have this to look forward to being a Freedom2Surf customer, also now owned by Tiscali. So far, F2S have continued to offer a 1st class service despite the takeover.

    Yes, yes it would.

I wonder if I can send them the bill I racked up talking to our external IT support!

Still, on the plus side, it's given me a crash course on configuring email servers and learning about how they route things.
