    Video plays flipped?!

WTF? Ive no idea what's going on but when i play AVi's the video is flipped upside down and now its decided it wants to play it inside out too so its an upside down mirror image!?

W-T-F is going on?? Im using the same drivers for my matrox G550 i always have, but ive only recently started having this problem and i dunno whats triggered it. It also uses massive amounts of CPU flipping the video too HELP!!!
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

Aha! Try using ffdshow, and going into the filter properties. Perhaps that might solve it. Failing that, uninstall ffdshow if its already there and try again.

yea i fiddled with ffdshow last nite and got it to flip the video but my cpu is on full at anything other than a quarter screen now

Removed ffdshow and reinstalled divx 5.05 and see how that gets me

The CPU usage thing is an issue with WinXP without the SP - there is also a fix by fiddling with something in the registry if you look.

My flipping (and many other) probs were fixed by dumping nimo in favour of ffdshow.

    Ok ok,

When i installed the OS i installed:

    SLD pack
    ffdshow
    Tsunami Pack
    Xvid codec
    Ogg codec

that's it. Nimo is a pile of pants and i would never touch it.

    Had this trouble with Ffdshow20020520

ffdshow-20021213 is working well for me now instead. Also, uninstalling all your codecs, then reinstalling them often fixes alot of stuff without you having to fiddle with selecting individual filters in media player.
    SLD pack
    ffdshow
    Tsunami Pack
    Xvid codec
    Ogg codec
You seem to have too much installed here. Last time I had huge trouble I actually had 4 filters installed capable of running Xvids.

    Currently I have.

    DivX5.05 free
    ffdshow
The extra 3 subtitle and sound files for Ogg

Thats it. Also agree that the Nimo packs I tried in the past were all troublesome.

Works for me, that lot covers everything i need for encoding and decoding stuff and plays everything i chuck at it. Sorted it out now, was dodgy ffdshow.
