What Hexy said!
See my "What client should I be running and how much is it worth" thread for more info, linked in the first post of the team thread.
Basically your GPU is going to generate ~500ppd and use 1 CPU core in the process each CPU core is worth about 875ppd when running SMP units (extrapolating from duel core running at 2.8GHz) so not worth running the GPU client in your case.
Well, i have it all installed now.
Q6600
4gb of RAM )on XP 32 bit for now, might upgrade to vista 64 shortly)
new gigabyte mobo
additional 500gb disk
2 x 24" widescreen TFT monitors.
Il get the SMP client running tomorrow probably.

Well, thats my Q6600 up and folding. Seems to be using all 4 cores according to task manager, I read that you needed a different machine ID for each core or something in here a while back but it seems to be working just using one instance of the client and 1 machine ID. Is that right?

If you had multiple instances of the CPU client running then it would need different machine IDs for each instance but the SMP client runs 4 threads even if you have 2 cores so you are only running 1 instance of the SMP client and so it doesn't need separate machine IDs.
i think you're all set bud
fold away...that's nearly the same rig as I have....4gig, XP32 etc

I might upgrade to Vista 64 at some point though, I hope they have sorted the folding client out by the time I make the jump.
