    Re: change wallpaper automatic?

Josh, if you're using Windows Vista, there's a sidebar gadget that can do what you ask. It's available for download here: Windows Live Gallery

Once installed, you can choose which folder you want it to pull images from and can set it to change your wallpaper at pre-defined times ranging from every 5 seconds to every 24 hours.

I've got the gadget installed and have my wallpaper set to change every 1 hour. Sounds like a lot of changes but then, I do have a lot of wallpapers! Something different every once in a while is nice.

...on another note, it appears there actually IS a useful sidebar gadget!

If you are on XP then you can use the Microsoft Powertoy to do it, that's what I've got on my laptop.

Windows 7 can do it out of the box, iirc.

The easiest way to refresh your memory, is to try what you did, again.

Indeed it can - dump all your wallpaper images in a directory, browse to select one and highlight those that you want to switch between and set it to change picture every x minutes. You can even set the order or have it shuffle.

Do I use this feature? Hell no, but it's nice to have.
