Is there a quick way ?

Is there a quick way to:-

    1. Make 80 new folders
    2. Sequentially name them Folder1...Folder2…Folder3

In Windows XP or Photoshop CS.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

Re: Is there a quick way ?

Create a new folder, copy and the paste it, select those two, copy and past them, select those four..... repeat until you have about 80.

Then select them all and rename to folder, XP should then re-name them all with sequential numbers.

Re: Is there a quick way ?

Funkstar you are indeed a star

    Worked perfectly.
    Thank you very much.

I would have made 80 individual ones. Naming them individually as well.

Re: Is there a quick way ?

    No problem

It's something I found out by mistake. Had a few files selected, went to rename one and they all renamed. Very clever. I think Undo saved me ages re-re-naming the filess again too .

Yes, I found this out by accident, although I have several frustrating questions about multiple file renaming...I cant even recall all of them right now, my head hurts!

    Very helpful hex.

    Microsoft Corporation

shows you the command prompt way in windows, but enless you want to do this regularaly the explorer way of funkstars is certainly better.

i dislike the for syntax in windows, for /L (80,-1,1)
    thats just not nice.
