DirectX 10 in XP?

There were (false) rumours a while ago but the only concrete thing I've heard of is that you can hack a config file in Crysis to enable the very high settings under XP which you shouldn't normally get.

I believe they ceased development a month ago roughly. It was going well too , crysis works and all you do is download a file and shove it in the folder, this enables very high settings.
