you can continue to use winrar, i think it just pesters you every now and again to purchase it, but you don't have to.

You do, the license says so.

    WinAce is cracking.
No annoying pop-ups and opens any compacted file.

Bit harsh, every piece of software on my computer is bought and paid for legally thankyou very much, it was a mistake on my part to assume that i could continue to use winrar after the trial period because it doesn't stop you from using it once it's expired, and i should have checked the license more closely, as a result it's now uninstalled. Please don't judge me when you don't have all the facts (if the above was made in jest then excuse me i'm a bit too sensitive at times )

Back on topic I've also used PeaZip recently because it can be used without having to install it which was useful, since the uni don't allow installing software on their lab machines and the software they had on the pc's doesn't work with some archive formats.

Personally think WinAce is pretty good and use this over all the others but also have a copy of 7zip that I have fiddled with and found to be useful.

That would be very useful. Could be used to get small beads out of children's ears, mice out of holes, money out of drains, food out of vending machines when it hangs on the corkscrew thingy, and useful for hospitals removing items that people have "accidentally" inserted into themselves. £4.99 from JML.
