whats the best way guys.got myself a nice dell lappy and wanna share the files from my main vista rig to this xp pro sp2 laptop... using ethernet and my ag241 adsl2 linksys router...
and links to video guides would be cool aswell.

1) put on the same workgroup
2) create folder you want to share
3) right click folder and hit sharing, give share a name
4) set permissions so that "Everyone" can make changes
5) Go to other machine
6) in explorer go to \\$PCname\$sharename - where $PCname is the name of the vista machine and $sharename is the name of the share you created there.

7) files should be displayed and accessible

huh?i just want to go into xp and go to network connections/my network places and view the folder.and yes i have firewalls setup now
