    Firefox - small problem

    How do i control which pop-ups to allow?

    With IE its very simple, i either add a site to the allowed list, or i can choose at any time to allow a popup by holding CTRL.

    But firefox doesnt seem to have this simple but godly function??

    It only lets me allow all or deny all from a site, rubbish!

    Is this some sort of flaw with Firefox that the fanboys hate to admit?

    tools->options->content-> "block popups" [exceptions]

    hit that exceptions button and add any urls you want popups on...

    I'm not saying that its the easiest way, but its a way

    Probably the easiest way is to block all pop ups the same way streetster mentioned, that way, when you encounter a site with pop ups you will get a "Firefox prevented this site from opening x pop ups" banner. Click the Options button at the end of that banner and you will see each pop up, select the one you want to view.

    yeah, its a bit lame really, what if you are navigating through a site that is a minefield of pop-ups but you need to allow one specific pop-up to get what you want. FWith firefox its all or nothing, rubbish!

    Read what I put again.

    Use that PopupTest - test your popup blocker software and download software to try it out.

    Re: Firefox - small problem

    guess you'll have to use IE7 for that particular site until someone comes up with a solution/addon/etc to get around that problem...

    Re: Firefox - small problem

    I'm using Seamonkey which is basically Firefox, and I can certainly get any popup that has been blocked to show itself - there is a nice easy way, as Godsdog has already pointed out.

    Not sure if it's exactly the same with firefox as with seamonkey, but I can just right click on the "Unblock this site's popups" icon, and it gives me a menu of blocked popups from the site you are currently browsing. To view one, you just select from the menu.
