Question vista 64 ... firewall please.

    hi,
tried comodo and it just has far to much to allow/deny i just want zone alarm 64 but ofcourse there isn't one
i really loved the free zone alarm it worked perfectly.
so something thats secure but doesn't ask me every bloody question under the sun like if i click on something i want to install do i want myself to install it etc
never had any problems with zone alarm it worked perfect.
so what free firewall.and no i'm not going to use it in basic mode as apparently it's very vulnerable...
    links too please guys.
    remember FREE and 64BIT...

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

Well Comodo is probably the best Free firewall there is. I just use the Vista firewall as it's ok for me, but there is a little program you can use with it to make it more securePC World - PC World Downloads - Vista Firewall Control 64-bit version

commodo is good. Install it in 'basic' mode and it's fine.

I've heard it has some major attack vulnerabilities in basic... google it.

So install it in full mode and live with the increased noise.

I'm using Trend Micro's package, it's similar to ZoneAlarm (which I'd finally settled upon after years damnit!), only worrying thing from my point of view is it's not very chatty.

Re: vista 64 ... firewall please.

if you must go the software route, go for outpost. usually tests as the best one around.

    otherwise, i recommend a router.
