I'm on a revision that's a few months old and won't be upgrading until I flatten the system in the summer.
I had set up a system last year but then had to take it apart to fix other pc`s.
I`ll give it a go later in the year
brief release notes:
* storage groups (add multiple disks to the system without needing them to all be part of the same partition, for easy expansion)
* multirec (record multiple digital channels at once with only one tuner)
* image quality improvements (better deinterlacers, new renderer modes [including the super-secret diect3d renderer for the super secret windows port], higher resolution theme support, and the ability to determine how to render things based on video properties)
* major internal player improvements (properly deals with mp4 and mkv, allows multi-core playback of H.264 for european HDTV)
* UPnP improvements (frontends autodetect the backend using UPnP, playback of mythvideo content on 360, playback of mythmusic content on ps3)
* youtube-like streaming of recordings via mythweb
plus general fixes, of course
Sounds interesting.
I may be tempted to give it a go again.
I'm going to blow away the XP install on my HTPC somtime and start again, so I could easy give it a go with one of the nice new linux distros.
