    Resolutions and refresh rates

Does anyone run their monitors at a refresh rate lower than 85 Hz?
Cos my monitor doesn't go any higher than 1024x768 at 85Hz, I'm trying it at 1152x864 at 75Hz, and it's pretty flickery compared to what I'm used to. I like the res, but not sure if I'll get used to it!

What resolution/refresh rate do you lot use?

    Use "RefreshForce" or "Powerstrip"
... anything less than 85Hz is a bit too harsh on the old eyes.

Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    1024x768 @ 85hz or 1280 x 960 @ 75hz
    85hz definetly looks better

It might be the right time to invest in a new monitor howard, especially if it flickers at 1152x864 at 75Hz!.

The flickering seems to me to be your monitor running a higher hz than it can handle.

I use 1280x960 (4:3 as it should be) at 85Hz although it can handle up to 100Hz at that rez.
