    Question Web Design Program?

I'm well out of touch with dreamweaver and designing websites, I haven't used it for years, since version 6 I think when I was about 16/17....

I downloaded the trial of dreamweaver CS3 but it all seems really complicated to me now

I don't really want to use MS Word to make a site, is there a good well known program that's easier to use than dreamweaver? What about any good freeware?
