Burning a bootable CD
ok my dad go a copy of XP from work (legaly - some exstended lecense thing) but it was a borked copy so he got some fix off the net and it works :) BUT...
... i can burn it to a bootable CD!!
so ATM im booting of the borked copy and switching the disks while its not looking - lamo!!!
so how can i (with nero6) burn a bootable cd???

You need to get a .img boot file, create a "CDROM (Boot)" or something in the Nero Wizard thing, and in the Boot tab, point it to the .img file.
You can get the XP one by using IsoBuster, pointing it to the drive with an XP disc in, and then clicking the "Bootable CD" icon bit down the left, right click on Microsoft Corporation.img and click Extract.

ah yes - it work now (i think) - thanks, nero has put the wrong ling in (because i hadnt installed it into the default place)
but i think its worked (but i havent tested it yeat)

after testing, CD wont boot
- its detected as bootable "press any key to boot from cd..." but it wont actually BOOT!!

Get a program like winiso - make an ISO from the working XP CD, get the boot image for the CD (no idea about this bit as I'm not in a position to do it right now) and add that to the ISO.
Burn ISO in Nero.
Use a CDRW and you can always retry at no cost.
