Yeah its the new quad core test rig running the linux SMP client - seems to be doing the job

sadly can't get either client stable on my main rig , so its just that and my work laptop at the moment.

    Re: 185th now :)

I'm knocking together 2 machines from old spares tonight. A 3.0 Northwood & resurrecting my old S940 Opti150. Will leave them both running for a week for 'stability' purposes, ie, folding. Nothing stellar.
Neither client is stable on my gaming rig, I seem to get WU corruption always toward the end of a unit & it starts over so i've changed it not to run big packets & it's fine running 2 instances of the std client. Of course it's only on 4-6 hrs a day, but it all helps.

    Re: 185th now :)

All the different clients get different work units with different values.

Going by what I've read, in time the GPU2 client will get some very valuable WUs though. They have worked out how to do calculations they didn't think were possible on current mainstream hardware before.

    Re: 185th now :)

the gpu2 client is currently getting a lot of 30 point wu's that take about 30mins and flail 9/10 times.. the 97 and 98 pointers work fine so something is borked at there end. its hitting ppd quite badly at the mo tho

for anyone getting confused with the ppd/wu/frame count thingy. and even anyone who isnt. i suggest getting FAHMon Home | FahMon

tells you how many points your current wu is worth, and how many points per day you are currently earning. is good. recommended

Thanks for the FAHMon recommendation. This is good and saves me having to CONSTANTLY check my progress online. Honestly, it's like I've got an addiction to folding or something - my bro is getting so tired of me folding on his PS3 he's started hiding his control pad when he goes out!

you can do some fancy stuff with it too, like getting it to output html that you can then automagically upload to a web server using a program i have forgotten the name of so you can keep track of how the folding is going from anywhere

Yeah this is pretty good - do let me know if you remember the name of that program.

Just out of interest, 3036.75 PPD is good?
