I am not using RC2 but did experience similar problems with my SBS2003 with POP3 mailing particularly to AOL - their mail servers rejected my messages as suspected SPAM. My ISP had to change mail settings on their side for my mail to work but it was never satisfactory.
Is your SBS box doing it's own DNS (ie it is routing mail) or is it forwarding out to your ISP's mail farm somewhere?
<pedant mode>
Also, just to correct your title.....it is Small Business Server 2003 R2....not RC2....
SBS is not a release candidate </pedant mode>
are you routing mail directly or using a smarthost ( ie your ISP's smtp relay ? )

If you're unsure which method you're using open up Exchange Manager -> Connectors -> Right click on the appropriate connector (by default Small Business SMTP Connector). In the box that appears it'll either say "Use DNS to route each address space on this connector" or "Forward all email through this connector to the following smarthost"
----
If it's the first one (Use DNS), then AOL will only accept your e-mail if you have an SPF record and rDNS record established. You also have to register on their site a valid address to recieve any spam.
If it's the second, you need to talk to your ISP, if they're anything like Pipex, you'll get nowhere.

yes - add them in ADUC as contacts.

this should have been configured during your first run of the CEICW wizard
During this you can set your SBS server to forward all outgoing mail to your ISP's mail farm or to set the SMTP server to do this part.
