making files into an image file

    hi all,
how do i make normal files into an image file (so i can open run daemon tools)
i have a game in my documents file but i need to install it, the only way i can think of is to turn it into an image file and rub with daemon.the game will run as is, but its rather jumpy as although i have the files they are not properly installed (if you get what i mean)
or is there another way to properly install the file?
    any help appreciated guys...
    cheers
    jim
