Nero 8 Ultra - What do you actually get?

I've started to try a trial of Nero 8 on my computer which seems to be riddled with issues.

I am trying to convert Camcorder files on a DVD. Seems to all work ok, but when it comes
to actually playing them back on a DVD player, theres no sound. There is sound when we
preview them though on the computer using Nero or DVD shrink.

I keep getting messages also about buying a mpeg 2 decodeder from Nero....

If I actually brought the full version of Nero 8 would these problems vanish?

For converting video files to DVD I use ConvertXtoDVD, which can burn directly to disk or to an ISO file - I output to ISO then burn with ImgBurn to verify the output.

ConvertX probably costs the same or less than Nero with all the plugins. ImgBurn is free.
