circuit design software?

heylo all,

can anyone recommend me a piece of software that'll allow me to create a circuit diagram for the circuit i'm making for my A2 electronics project at college...

CrocClips is too simple, and i've tried Circuitmaker, but it doesnt have the two main chips i'm using (a 2917n frequency-voltage doodar, and a 8038 sine wave generator chip)... i dont need it to check it the circuit works, just be able to whack a load of ICs down and connect them all together (without having to use photoshop or draw it all by hand)

any ideas?

There's a program I used to use called PCB Wizard - don't know if they still make it.

The great thing about it was that you could import crocclips files into it. Of course, you could design the circuits yourself too. It takes a while to get the circuit how you want it, but the toolbox has a big range of various IC, capactor, resistor etc layouts.

hmmm... think we had pcb wizard on the computers at my old school, you could click a button, wait about an hour (mind you they were 486 beasts) and it would design a pcb for you... i'll try that out, i did some during my electronics lesson, using pen and paper, which has prompted me to think about just using ms paint tbh

its all made in paint so far might put some resistor/capacitor values on tomorrow in the lesson if i can be arsed.. was only 7 chips, 4 of them being op-amps, so wasnt too much of a mission
