Keeping folder settings in vista

How do I get vista to remember my folder settings? It seems like almost every time I open my folders after I custom organise them, vista just goes and ignores my custom options and sets everything back to default. Its really rather annoying having to reorganise my folders every ten minutes, so am I missing something, or is vista just screwing around?

Known issue with Vista. It really sucks and annoys the hell out of me. I started a thread about alternatives to Vista's Explorer a while back because of this issue.

Worse still is that Vista Explorer tries to be clever and identify the types of files in a folder and displays them according to a template. Sometimes technology can try to be too clever for its own good!

Give XYplorer a trial.
