Hi guys
I'm a bit of a noob at the software side of computers. A friend of mine has forgotten the password for her username on windows vista (I dont know what one as she is a super noob), so I was wondering if there is anyway to reset it.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you log on as another user at all? If so you may be able to get administrator access to the system, and from there clear her password.

She can only log in as a guest. She was the only admin, so she cant change anything.
Well, you can try to enable the real administrator account

Only thing I'm not 100% sure about is whether or not, you need the password is required to launch the command window with admin access.

You could try the good old password reset tool which says it now supports Vista but I've never used it myself with Vista (or on any other user other than the adminitrator account).
