    Help test my flash application

I was just wondering if anyone wnated to help me out by testing an application Im building in flash.
The latest version for testing is on my server
the front end (user end) is at
    newmedia.leeds.ac.uk/ug05/jhm3jc/fvcms/flash/index.cfm
    newmedia.leeds.ac.uk/ug05/jhm3jc/fvcms/backend/index.cfm
Theres no password, the login is blank.
If you want to test it, just have a go, see what you can manage to do with it. See if you can change the layout or post a new article. You will have to refresh your browser a few times, or clear the browser cache before you will see any changes.
If you want to upload a video it has to be in .flv format, there are free encoders available online.
Let me know how you get on.
    Thanks, Jamie

    via newmedia.leeds.ac.uk/ug05/jhm3jc/fvcms/flash/index.html

The back ground has faded from cyan at the top to black at the bottom, so I cannot read the all the text, I can see 'Test Yeah!!!' and 'Test2' but I cannot see the rest unless I select it with the mouse

    firefox 2.0.0.14

Re: Help test my flash application

Background colour makes all but the red text unreadable
    |Kata: "Read title as 'fisting'. Not sure why I clicked. Relieved, really."|
    |TAKTAK: "It was so small that mine wouldn't fit into it"|

Re: Help test my flash application

    The background is horrible.

Put a <title></title> block on your page and you can link to them properly on here

    Frontend

    Backend

The Backend -> Manage Videos are the last two on the right for a reason? shouldn't they all be at one side?

Same goes for Manage Content.... and in fact most of the pages. Looks odd.

Re: Help test my flash application

Yeah, the background colour/text combo is horrible, but I left it that way to encourage people to change it. Im more interested in whether people can figure out how to use the control panel without me telling them what to do. The idea behind the application is that its totally customisable, you can change the videos, layout positioning, text, font, text colour, background etc etc, all from the control panel.
A newer version is up on the server now, with three different layouts, so if anyone is still interested. then have a go at creating a layout (please dont change the ones that are in there already).

As for the backend, the video and content pages are actually split into two coloums and the output from the datasource is then divided between the two. It might look a bit odd when theres an odd number of videos in there, but its better than having miles and miles of scrolling, just makes it easier to use. Try adding in some more articles and youll see what I mean.

Anyway thanks for having a look, the feedback is much appreciated.

Edit: the link for the front end is now .cfm and not .html

Re: Help test my flash application

Ah ok. The two colums weren't working on IE7 at work this morning. I got the left column first, then the right hand column below it but on the right.

    Works with Opera 9.27 here
