Live Messanger hogging system

Anyone else had Live Messenger inexplicably hogging a machine?

Running build 8.5.1302.1018 and it started taking ever spare piece of processor time this afternoon.

Took me a while to realise what was making my machine slow. Closed the main contact list and everything went back to normal. It was still running, just not on screen. Still had a couple of conversation windows open too.

I guess there is nothing you can do about it, but it's a pain in the neck none the less.

Just opened it back up and it seems to be behaving itself again.

Never had that happen to me before, That's usually Skype or Yahoo! IM's forte.
