    Free BackUp Software.

    Anyone know of a free back up software i can use. i have a spare external harddrive with caddy and i am hoping to back up the contents of my harddrive onto it. i use vista prem.

    Any ides on what i can use, hopefully it will be able to recognise any new additions i have made on my internal hd. Hoping to archive pictures and word docus.

    Any info appriciated.

    I've read good reviews on Driveimage XML. Not used it myself though.

    does NTBackup not work? Do you mean backup or Image?

    Oh, not sure if Driveimage XML can allow files to be added.

    Anyway, there's also Acronis True Image 8 which you can get for FREE. It one of the best Drive backup software.

    Windows backup? (Has to be installed separately from the install disk from Win 2K onwards)
