    Dynamic disk help

    Hey

I've just reformatted my pc after messing up the bootloader back in december (come back home from uni and decided id best fix it ). I've reinstalled xp, but it isnt recognising one of my harddrives. Apparently, its a dynamic disk and is recognised in disk management, but is unreadable. Is there any way to recover the data from it? Windows says that converting it to a basic disk will cause me to lose all my data.

    Thanks

Are you sure it's fully plugged in & fully powered?

    Sounds like it's busted

Ah the joys of dynamic disks... What type of dynamic disk is it? (simple, striped, spanned, mirrored, RAID5)

Not tried it, but how to recover files from dynamic-disk in Windows may be of use to you.
