dual screen setup

hi,

hope somebody can help, ive recently acquired a second monitor from work because i wanted to set up dual screens, it works excellent for work and multitasking and when i play games i can still move my mouse to the other screen where i normally have itunes running or something like skype.

the problem comes in when i try to do something on the other screen such as clicking on a window, the game on my main screen minimizes. is there anyway i can change my settings so that the game still stays on the main screen?

i got win xp pro, 1x15inch dell monitor, 1x19inch dell, ati radeon x1300.

I'm afriad you're stuck with good-old alt-tab to switch betweens apps.
That's assuming ofc the games you play actually like dual-screen configs as not all do!

Depends on the Game Silver, if they support window mode you are fine.

If not you are screwed, at least thats my experience.

It is not really possible. Windows doesn't really work that way.

What I have done in the past is just to have 2 computers, game PC connected to DVI1, DVI2, and the spare pc connected to VGA2, so gaming on DVI1 (or with DVI2 if its like supreme commander ) and do other stuff on VGA2.
