Working well on my mac, had to use the nightly tester tool to get my extensions working though.

Looking forward to the public release of this. It sounds good from what the devs and testers claim.

Re: Firefox 3 RC1 now available

To be fair I like it, although it's not certified by my online bank's website (Natwest).

Thought it used less memory, but it doesn't. Seems a bit quicker.

Some few neat things and seems fairly stable. I don't know whether I like the "Save and Quit" thing for saving the tabs though ....

Re: Firefox 3 RC1 now available

I've been using it for a while, and it's fine.

The only prob. I have is if I leave my yahoo tab open when I close the browser, on next use it can't open any yahoo mail until I close the tab and reopen, then it works. No biggie.

Tried it on the laptop - very fast. Impressed.

Will wait for all my extensions to become available before moving though

Re: Firefox 3 RC1 now available

Firefox 3 is standard on Ubutu Linux Hardy Herron.

So far I have not been that impressed. It crashes quite a lot, even on quite popular websites like google maps. I am running a 64 bit build, which will make things a little harder for it, but especially on Linux, a 64 bit OS will hardly be uncommon.

Re: Firefox 3 RC1 now available

Been running FF3 for a while now. RC1 has noticeable speed improvements, particularly on my MBP. I would highly recommend people try this out if they haven't taken the plunge yet. I would go as far as saying that it runs better than FF2, at the moment.

If you miss Favicons though, I recommend installing the 'stylish' extension and enabling favicons. Adblock is compatible as always too.
