    Can I legally D/L Vista?

My girlfriend has lost the backup disk that came with her crappy laptop.

It has a licence sticker on the bottom. Its been fine up until the last week where it was becoming too slow for use.. found some spyware which I am not convinced I got rid of, removed some apps and junk but it is still running slow.

I did want to wipe it and start again but all my rigs are on XP and I don't have a Vista DVD.

Tech support want £50 for a replacement 'backup disc'(not even a real MS disc or anything) which is a touch ott to me.

No way would I go and randomly download a torrent either.

    Am I stuffed?

Legally, no. Morally, yes. If you do it and get caught, will you get fined/prosecuted, no. Just do it. Make sure you get one with SP1 integrated

George, I'm surprised you even have to ask this one?! Hexus has a strict no Warez discussion rule I'm afraid so mind the doors...

/edit - on re-reading I appreciate you're trying to do it 'legally' but there still isn't a way that isn't dodgy.
