OWA - drop the need for /owa

We recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 and since doing so to access OWA you've needed to stick /owa on the end of our URL.

Is there an easy way to redirect https://xyz.domain.com/ to https://xyz.domain.com/owa

We're using ISA 2006 and IIS on the Exchange server.

Our ISA Setup looks like this...

    Our IIS Config...

you can put a redirect to the virtual directory into the IIS root.

    IIS6

    IIS7

Either/or dependent on which flavour of IIS you're using (though I'd guess on the latter)

I've tried redirecting Default Web Site to https://xyz.domain.com/owa but it's gives an error internally that the url forward is malfunctioned/incorrect (something along those lines)

and Externally you get a 403.

Re: OWA - drop the need for /owa

Vini, there is a technet article here for redirecting default to /owa :

How to Simplify the Outlook Web Access URL

Is this the one you followed, and you're still getting the error? Are all your mailboxes hosted on EXCH 2007?

Also, depending on how you've separated the Exchange 2007 server roles, you may find this article useful:

Managing Outlook Web Access Virtual Directories in Exchange 2007
