    Debian Kernel Help

    Hello Linux people

I have a Debian Kernel I need to update due to wanting to run software that has dependences requiring a 2.6 based one. However, it needs a specific patch applying to it for the system (an Xbox 1 if anyone is interested).

The patches only go up to Kernel version 2.6.16 - this isn't a major issue as I doubt there is anything that I would need/use above this.

However, I can not locate the sources for it.
    Doing an
    Code:
    apt-cache search ^linux-source-2.6
only returns the source for 2.6.18 with Debian patches. Sadly there is no patch for this version.

So in short: Does anyone know where I can get the source for the Debain version of the 2.6.16 Kernel from please?
Is there an archive I can add to the apt sources list for apt to find it?

Annoyingly, I can find references to a patch made for later versions here, but it has no download links that I can see - I may email him if this turns out to be fruitless.

    Thanks

    Re: Debian Kernel Help

    snapshot dot debian dot net

bear in mind this kernel won't be security-supported.

    if you care.

    Re: Debian Kernel Help

You're a legend Will give it a shot later on this evening. I Googled for an hour and couldn't find it.

Security isn't an issue as its not a networked machine - more of a learning experience than anything.

    Cheers bud
