    Multi-platform zero day Flash vuln...

If it's your job to know these kinds of things you're probably aware, but a zero day exploit to Flash player has been discovered, and is already being exploited. No patch as yet...

More info at SANS Internet Storm Center; Cooperative Network Security Community - Internet Security - isc and Adobe Flash Player SWF File Unspecified Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

I've had a quick shufty and can't see it mentioned elsewhere on Hexus, so I figured it was worth a heads up. Information at present seems scarce but I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

I wouldn't even put flash (or java for that matter) nsplugins on work machines, for this reason, plus it's just a distraction for employees which they (generally) don't need.

Re: Multi-platform zero day Flash vuln...

the problem is too many websites use flash for important navigational things, not just for adverts/cartoons.

Acording to a buddy of mine who ended up doing what i would of done had i not sold my soul to invesment finance (works at a UK based antivirus firms lab, well that narrows it down to one of two!) The only specimin he has heard of is for windows.

Not that people should get complacent or anything, but as hex said, bleh.

True, though any website that exclusively uses flash for navigation is going to be completely useless due to the developer being an absolute moron.
