    Kav & Za

    Hi all,

I have got zonealarm 7 firewall installed atm. Iv tried to install Kaspersky antivirus 7 on however it cannot install without ZA being uninstalled.

Is there a way to get KAV and ZA both in version 7 to run together?

    Thanks

    Interesting...

    Installation / Uninstallation

Seems that ZA is in conflict with the file antivirus component of KAV

    thanks for that

is the file anti-virus component essential?

    what does it do?

    Re: Kav & Za

I'm no Kaspersky insider, but I would guess that it scans your files

I'd say it's pretty much useless as an antivirus without it (and it looks like KAV will automatically uninstall Zonealarm if you try to run in)

    Re: Kav & Za

I run AVG which doesn't have any conflicts with Zone alarm.

More to the point... is there a reason to insist on Zonealarm? I run KIS (essentially KAV with a firewall and a bunch of other stuff) and couldn't be happier. Shop around and it should't cost you much more than a copy of KAV.

Comodo doesn't conflict with KAV, which is also much better than Zonealarm, ZA is the Norton of firewalls really.

Agreed, I picked up a Retail 3-user license of KIS off ebay for around £17 inc postage on ebay last week since mine are due for renewal

Thank you all for your replies.

Jus thought ZA is more of a robust firewall...is the firewall in KIS similar or better than ZA?
