    Vista Start Menu

Is there anyway to make Vistas start menu like XP's?

Currently I only have the options to use Vistas type, or the Classic one.

The difference: In this version, when clicking "All Programs" it changes the plane on the left to a list of apps / folders. On XP, this would rollout to a clasic style. Is there anyway to get this back?

    Old:1
    New:2

No matter how I configure it, I can't get it how I want it

    Any offers?
    Thanks

AFAIK windowsblinds is the only thing that brings that sort of thing back....I dont think there are any registry hacks to enable the pop out menu style :/

If anyone does know one I'd be interested too!

    Re: Vista Start Menu

its all based on the tree now, i've mixed fealings about this, i'm constantly been threatened with going on a GUI course of the bunny huggy user luvvy type.

The idea is that putting too much information on screen far away from the mouse is bad!

Theres no way to get it back short of hacking the shell.

Myself i don't care because i'm more a keyboard man, than a mouse man, and as such just use the instant search to hit a few keys for the name of the app. I'd recommend this as a very quick way of launching apps

In adding that feature, they've had to do away with a popup menu design.
