nforce2 and Linux

Im having real trouble getting my nf7-s working with Gentoo, Ive done the

#> emerge nvidia-net

off the 2.4 livecd, and it loads off boot, but it wont connect to the net through my Uni network.

oh yea, Im stuck with the command line till |I can get the network stuff running


Any ideas, im n00bed

So wait, have you installed gentoo, and your at the commandline, or have you just booted off the cd?
