Re: F@H Nvidia Beta Client is out
viewer is not to be trusted tho and it wastes alot fo GPU and CPU uses for the program (and may allso crash the PC just opening it)
use FAHmon or the other one as no usefull info comes from that viewer yet, what PPD are you getting and on what video card
Re: F@H Nvidia Beta Client is out
People having problems with drivers can try out 177.41 with modified inf. Link...
(PS Post 19 is interesting but unrelated to folding...)
Re: F@H Nvidia Beta Client is out
Does anyone get a high pitch noise coming from the graphics card when using this?
Its damn annoying! Seems like I am not alone either!
Re: F@H Nvidia Beta Client is out
!!!w00t!!!
my graphics temps are rising sharply :D
F@H GPU is under-way  (only a 8600gts... but oh well)
managed to get it working with forceware 177.41 (and the modified .inf obv)
should crank up a few more points... not many mind... but it'll get me up to the 1200PPD hopefully :D
edit: looks like 1% per 4 minutes...
i'll just have to see how much it slows down the SMP
and should be churning some more points soon as soon as i get it going on the HTPC (dualie 3800+) and the other comp (dualie 4800+) should be bringing in the poinst and realing in the places... and one day... just maybe (if i become a saboteur) i could overtake Lowe (lol, highly doubtful , specially with his new additions waiting to be unleashed :o)
edit: Hey, this'll be good come winter :D
my PSU is getting rather warm though :(
but i suppose that is to be expected after 4 days of continuous folding
it makes a nice leg warmer :D
Re: F@H Nvidia Beta Client is out
getting 5000 PPD of an 8800gt (OC the shader clock to 1800 from 1500 stock temps are less then 75c) best thing about it the 8800gt is very cheap (£85 cost to me not you :) )
my 2 8800GTX gets just less then 5000 ppd each when i am useing the pc
ATI cards seem to suck an little but thats more an core problem with GPU2 (get 1000 ppd from an 3850 gpu load is 62%)
high pitch noise, comes from all Nvidia cards and ATI and the PS3 when folding (just run ATItools or 3dmark 05/06 on the cpu test that crank up the noise)
