    Windows Aero

    Hi,
After downloading a punkbuster setup tool to upgrade the punkbuster version on bf2142, my "Appearance Settings" have changed to "Windows Vista Basic" from "Windows Aero". And it wouldn't let me change it back. Any suggestions?

Btw, I have Windows Home Premium 64-bit.

    Thanks,
    Ed

    Re: Windows Aero

It's been a while since I had Vista installed but iirc some programs aren't compatible with the Windows Aero theme. It could be that the Punkbuster setup tool is changing your theme. Try closing it down or uninstalling the Punkbuster setup tool and then change your theme back to Aero.

    Re: Windows Aero

It happens when software is incompatible with aero - you usually see a bubble telling you so from the system tray. Shutdown punkbuster and you should be able to select aero again from right-click-desktop->choose personalize etc.

Working fine now. I think it was BF2142 - I had it minimized. Thanks guys
