    Re: new bt home hub?

I'm not sure which models this concerns, but I have seen reports that newer home hubs don't allow any method of connecting to the command line interface that the speedtouch router underneath contains, yet they are still set to use symmetric NAT rather than cone. With no way of changing this anymore they might well be more secure, but it can cause problems in games that use partial peer to peer communications like Test Drive Unlimited.

I tried to get one from BT for free, but apparently they have some deal going at the moment and you can get one at around £50 [From Them]

    Re: new bt home hub?

Lol. Maybe that was the cost. I'm on option 3 also, so it must've been. My current one [Replacement from V1.0], V1.5, is starting to drop the connection. Proper pain in the ass. I'm going to give it a few more days and if it continues, I'm going to definately give them an earful. F***ing ridiculous. You can't game with an inconsistent connection!

    Re: new bt home hub?

I wish they'd issue a new BT Business Hub. I've just taken delivery of my third in under 24 months (the length of my initial contract). Random ethernet ports keep dying
