    Playing DVDs (XP)

Ok i have an XP pro rig and i was wodering what is the best prog for playing DVDs - on my win2k machine i use ASUS DVD as it came free with the graphics card (asus geforce 2 gts)

i tryed using that and got huge picture distortion (glitching/artifactes etc) and WindowsMP only got the pictire

    - should i down load the ATI DVD prog (cos its got a 9600pro card)

ne way - WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO???

I use the ATI DVD program now as it came with my 9800AIW plus I have the ATI remote so the program works well with it. But before that i use to use PowerDVD I found that was a very good program also.

    edit:
*Don't Know. Didn't realise that 'PowerDVD' is the same as 'Asus dvd 2000' as i have never used Asus program. if it is.

i use Media Player Classic for Region 1, because i accidentally locked my drive to that region. Videolan Player works with any region, but isn't a particularly good player.

both are 100% free & open source, of course.

Download ATI's MultiMediaCenter 8.0 as thats the DVD player I use and you don't need a CD key as i got mine with my GFX card.

And also there are free programs out there like directhex mentioned.
