    OS reinstillation porbs

ok so i wana reinstall my os, but when i boot to the cd ( vista 64 bit DVD even) it has the little grey loadup bar, gets past that, then goes to the little microsoft loading bar ( the shoddy yellow loading thing) as if its trying to boot into the actual OS, then without fail i get a bluecreen at that load bar and so i cant reinstall my os , i have 2 dvd drives, and have tried em in both, and the same prob each time. Any help pls ( i recently updated my bios btw but reinstalled my original 1.0 bios to see if that solved the prob but to no avail )

Have you got this DVD working in the past?

Do you get any error messages?

Have you checked in the Bios to make sure it's set to boot from DVD first in boot order?

    Re: OS reinstillation porbs

another disk? i have the legit version with me, i am trying to copy an iso file to my HDD from my original vista disk then burn it to another dvd, but i ahve a feeling this wont work and seems silly to make a replica of what was a perfectly working dvd all of 3 weeks ago, i aint even taken it out fo its box since then. grrrrr

If you have a legitimate key i'd say download a copy of Vista 64 and use your key. That's not illegal, if it is thats just plain stupid.

Would you by any chance have 4Gib of RAM installed? If so do you still get the issue if you take 1Gib out?
