    CPU usage logging tool

I'm looking for a tool similar to that of nvidia's nvmonitor, but logs the usage of the CPU and temps instead of the GPU in a notepad doc. Would be handy to have volts aswell. Am looking for it as am trying to diagnose problems with PC currently.

Anyone know of decent ones that do this?

Everest can do you a system report which will stress your hardware and export that to a report file (which can be a .txt) but I'm not sure that this is what you're after. Recording CPU usage for every process on your system is likely to create a fairly massive log file very quickly.

I'm not on about for each process, just the % of each core that is being used so i can work out if say both cores are on 100% then this might be why it crashes etc. I'll have a look into everst.

Ah, in that case Everest almost certainly will do what you need.

Windows has built-in performance accounting, right click on your computer, manage, and 'reliability and performance', you can set it to log most types of useful data.

    Re: CPU usage logging tool

Err, yeah, it's not the easiest to use, it's intended for use by sysadmins and software developers. But if you get the hang of it, it's quite a useful tool.
