MPICH is the de-facto implementation of MPI, Message Passing Interface, a method for writing parallel programs by having multiple independent processes passing small pieces of data to each other over some kind of message bus (usually a high-performance network). MS-MPI is microsoft's slow MPI stack (which was the cause of the 'if you see this twice' stuff in old betas), and DeINO is a better optimized byt still pretty experimental MPI for Windows
The problem with MPI apps is that if they're extremely parallel (i.e. if lots of messages are passed around and required for parallel operation), then if one process takes a long time for any reason, then the other processes can be sat there waiting for a required message. Unfortunately, paralle computation is pretty hard to predict, so sometimes these lobsided computations are inevitable
hmm, just done a complete re-install, and it seems to be chugging along nicely again (even if i did have to type in the passkey 5 times *stupid up arrow*)
it seems to have been a bad WU.. but just deleting the work and core didn't sort it so...
edit: mebbe not... i'm just getting client died again now
edit: it's working again now that it's taken a different WU

i tried fiddling for ages with the denio one to get it to use 100% and it just wouldn't take it
keep playing with the MPICH one... and keep an exact clean copy backed up so you can just drop it into the folder if it b0rks (thats what i do anyway... every time i hit client died or whatever errors.. i just drop it in and voila i'm off again)
